Registration Open for 2024-2025 Soccer Teams

Evaluations/Tryouts for CASL Teams June 11-12, 2024

The East Lansing Soccer Club (ELSC) provides US Soccer guided youth developmental soccer opportunities for Kindergarten - 8th grade boys and girls. Registration is now open online for all ELSC programs for the 2024-2025 school year at www.elsoccer.org. All registered players will be placed on a recreational or select team.

Evaluations/Tryouts for CASL Teams: For grades 3 and up who are interested in a more competitive soccer opportunity, are encouraged to try out for an ELSC Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) team. Times and dates of evaluations/tryouts are by grade and can be found below:

All players wishing to play on a CASL team must be evaluated. Please ** register online prior to try-outs ** at https://elsoccer.org/?page_id=34 using the 2024-2025 General Registration form, or directly at https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/430017.

 

Evaluations/Tryouts location: East Lansing Soccer Complex.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to the evaluation/tryout time for check-in.
Wear shin guards, and bring a soccer ball and water.

 

Fees for 2024-2025 season:

  • Recreational teams are $200, season consists of both fall and spring sessions.
  • Select teams are an additional $60-$100 depending on what team a player is placed on. Season consists of both fall and spring sessions. 
    • U10 3rd grade is an additional $60.
    • U11 4th grade-U15NHS 8th grade is an additional $100.
  • All fees are due paid in full by August 1, 2024.
  • Any late registration (after August 1st) may be accommodated, but a $15 late fee will be applied.

About us: The East Lansing Soccer Club is organized for the charitable and educational purpose of providing instruction, recreation and competition in the sport of youth soccer in the East Lansing area. Emphasis will be placed on maximum player participation by members of the club. Instruction and recreation will be of more importance than competition.

 


 

Recreational soccer program - Players 2nd-6th grade are placed on school grade level teams that play against other community teams in the East Side Soccer League (ESSL). The season is traditionally 6-7 games over 7 weeks in the fall starting around Labor Day, and 5-6 games over 5-6 weeks in the spring after Spring Break. Games are Saturday mornings. Practices are twice per week. Registration is open NOW until August 11th and all registered will be placed on a team. Fees only $200 and that includes both the fall and spring season! 

Select soccer program - Players can be in 3rd to 8th grade and are evaluated for a spot on a team. All players selected will be placed on a team based on their grade. Teams play against other community teams in the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL). Season is traditionally 8 games over 8 weeks in the fall starting August 26th and 8 games over 6 weeks in the spring starting after Spring Break. Games are Saturday or Sunday. Practices are twice per week. Evaluation for a CASL team is required, and dates and times for tryouts are June 11th for boys and June 12th for girls. Players not selected for a CASL team will be placed on a recreational team with their age group. Players must be registered to attend tryouts. Registration is open NOW and teams will be identified by June 30th. Fees are $200 plus an additional $60-$100 depending on age of player.

Kindergarten and 1st Grade soccer program - Kindergarten and 1st graders players are placed on K/1st grade teams that play other ELSC teams in a small sided game format (usually 4v4 with no goalkeeper.) Their season is traditionally 6 weeks in the fall starting after Labor Day, and 6 weeks in the spring starting after Spring Break. Games are during the week and practices are twice per week. Fall 2024 season will start September 9th and end October 17th. Registration is open NOW until August 11th. All players registered will be placed on a team. Fees only $50 for spring and $50 for fall!
