All players selected will be placed on a team based on their grade. Teams play against other community teams in the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL). Seasons are traditionally 8 games over 8 weeks in the fall starting August 24th and 8 games over 8 weeks in the spring starting after Spring Break. Games are Saturday or Sunday. Practices are twice per week. Evaluation for a CASL team is required, and dates and times for tryouts are June 16th for boys and June 17th for girls. Players not selected for a CASL team will be placed on a recreational team with their age group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluations\/Tryouts for Select Teams:<\/strong> Those in <strong>grades 3 and up<\/strong> who are interested in more competitive soccer are encouraged to try out for an ELSC Select team that plays in the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL). Please include your player&#8217;s name, school grade for the fall 2026 and what team they played on for the 2025-2026 season.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The East Lansing Soccer Club is organized for the charitable and educational purpose of providing instruction, recreation, and competition in the sport of youth soccer in the East Lansing area. Emphasis will be placed on maximum player participation by members of the club. Instruction and recreation is more important than competition. <b><i>All programs have volunteer coaches<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n&lt;!&#8211; <b>Recreational soccer program<\/b> &#8211; Players 2nd-6th grade are placed on school grade level teams that play against other community teams in the East Side Soccer League (ESSL). The season is traditionally 6-7 games over 7 weeks in the fall starting around Labor Day, and 5-6 games over 5-6 weeks in the spring after Spring Break. Games are Saturday mornings. Practices are twice per week. Registration is open NOW until August 11th and all registered will be placed on a team. Fees only $200 and that includes both the fall and spring season!\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/go.teamsnap.com\/forms\/467461\"><b>https:\/\/go.teamsnap.com\/forms\/467461<\/b><\/a>\u00a0<b><\/b>\n<b>Select soccer program<\/b> &#8211; Players can be in 3rd to 8th grade and are evaluated for a spot on a team. Their season is traditionally 5 weeks in the fall starting after Labor Day, and 6 weeks in the spring starting after Spring Break. Games are during the week and practices are twice per week. Fall 2025 season will start September 15th and end October 17th. Registration is open NOW until August 27th. All players registered will be placed on a team.
